one thing i love about winter in the mountains is snow. and snowy peaks can be a wonderful example of the power of nature on windy days.
and so it was on this day in rocky mountain national park - an extremely windy day among the peaks of the snowy peaks. i photographed this range of peaks from a number of different perspectives on this day, (and others) but there was something about the foreground of this beautiful tree giving a sense of scale while the wind and snow did their things from afar.
