print options
each print offered for sale is offered in at least one print option. most all prints are available in the classic, giclee pigment on paper - what most have come to know as a digital image print on paper. each giclee pigment on paper print is offered as either a paper print with at least a one half inch white border on all sides; (no mat or mounting) matted with archival-grade mat board, backing material and hinging material; or mounted with a uv laminate to provide image protection. i prefer larger prints to be mounted with laminate as it saves significantly on weight (not requiring glazing) and frame size, however i’ll mat if you’d prefer the mat. i also offer additional presentation options of metal and acrylic. the metal option can be purchased either as a smooth, high-gloss metal or a slightly textured print on metal with uv lamination. all of these options come with a metal float bar, mounted on the back and used to hang the print. the acrylic option essentially sandwiches fujiflex high-gloss paper between two pieces of acrylic with hand polished edges. this option provides a wonderful 3-dimensional “pop” compared to the metal. while i offer each image in the presentation(s) i feel are best for the print, if you would like an image in a presentation not offered for the given image, i can accommodate requests for different options.
archival graded materials
all prints are signed either beneath the mat (if matted) or on the rear. (acrylic, metal and mounted prints) each print (other than acrylic prints) is printed on archival grade papers such as hahnemuhle photo rag, hahnemuhle baryta, with the exception of acrylic prints, which are printed on fujiflex paper. (which has longevity nearly as long as archival grade) in addition to the papers, all materials used to present the print are archival grade. in essence, any print you purchase from me should last through at least your life, if not longer, and is guaranteed as such.
30-day, 100% money-back guarantee
i offer a 30-day, money-back guarantee of your print. if you’re not satisfied with your print within the first thirty days of ownership, you may return it for credit, refund or exchange.
lifetime, fade-free warranty
each print you purchase from me has a lifetime, fade-free warranty. if your image at any point in the original purchaser’s lifetime should fade, i will replace your returned product with a new product, free of charge. i only ask that you not hang your print in a location that receives direct sunlight.
frame care
if you purchased a framed item from a gallery, art fair or me directly, the chances are the glazing of the frame is acrylic with a layer of ultraviolet light protection and anti-glare protection. i choose to use acrylic for glazing because 1) it’s lighter 2) it’s very difficult to break should a frame be damaged in transit or in the home, thus saving broken glass from damaging the print and 3) acrylic glazing has come a long way in providing a clear view to the art behind it. the downside of acrylic is that it scratches easily and one should not use window cleaners to clean the acrylic. i use a plastic or acrylic cleaner from Brillianize: https://www.amazon.com/Brillianize-Plastic-Cleaning-Microsuede-Polishing/dp/B008Q0EF1Q/ref=sr_1_10. i’ve never had issues when using the Brillianize Plastic Cleaner One-Step Cleaner and Polish product (in case the link to the product changes, i’ve listed the detailed product name that i use) in conjunction with a good microfiber towel. i use a smooth towel in conjunction with the acrylic cleaner and a microfiber terry cloth to dry dust the acrylic.
if you purchased a framed print with no glazing, you have a print that includes an ultraviolet light protectant laminate - which also helps to protect the print. this laminate removes the necessity for proper glazing - provided it’s hanging in a spot where flying projectiles or fingers are not a concern. this should need nothing more than an occasional dusting.
