i’m quite aware of how lucky i am to live in an area of such beauty. i get to see incredible beauty in the mountains on my drive to and from work each day. i get to spend time in the mountains exploring the high-altitude forests. in the time i’ve spent here, there have been only a few mountains that have moved me as much as this one: nokhu crags. the majesty of mountains is one thing, but when that majesty combines with the extreme ruggedness of these crags, i’m in awe.

as the sun was making its way to leave our bit of sky for the day, i was enamored with the shadow of the forest interacting with the stone of nokhu crags. i hope the image moves you as much as it does me.
