one of my favorite times of year in the mountains is late spring/early summer. some of the wildflowers have begun blooming, the aspen leaves provide a different shade of green to the forests and the spring runoff of the snow melt provides gorgeous paths of running water making its way from the continental divide to one of the two oceans.
this was taken just after sunrise in the glacier gorge area of rocky mountain national park.
