a few of my favorite things: the desert, a view of the desert from atop a mesa, a cloud inversion and a sunrise. i stood atop cedar mesa in bears ears national monument for the majority of the morning, watching the sun rise and the colors dancing on the low clouds. the rhythmic layers produced by the landscape and the colors in the clouds made this scene one of my favorite photographs from the trip.
