Moustache
Moustache
i’ve seen a number of trees all alone in the wilderness. i’ve seen these solitary figures often with snow clinging to them as if afraid to fall into the unknown abyss below. on a number of occasions, i’ve happened across these scenes in a meadow full of fresh, fluffy snow. but this is the first time i’ve ever found a tree alone in the wilderness, snow perched on its branches, in a meadow full of the lightest, fresh snow one could imagine, but with a moustache.
i spent a good amount of time at this location, looking for the best angle of the tree, but also considering how best to incorporate the true prize of the scene - the shadow into the image as well. in the end, this was the image i felt best represented the tree’s “best side” along with the wonderful subtleties of the shadow moustache of the tree.
i hope you enjoy the moustache.
