this image is a 12x24 acrylic or giclee pigment on baryta. i believe owls are one of the most expressive animals out there. i waited a good bit of time for this owl to make “the expression,” snapping tens and tens of images. in the end, i found this take the most interesting with the large tree and the light on the tree both behind and in front of the owl.
