Alone
Alone
i’ve waxed poetic about my love of sunrises. the peace, the quiet and the lack of other humans other than the occasional occurrence of another mentally challenged landscape photographer looking for peace and serenity in the wild. and so it is that this lone stick, on this quiet sunrise reminded me of the solitude of my favorite time of day to experience nature.
ironically, this was one of the few times i’ve experienced sunrise with another person. a friend of mine and i had agreed to meet and photograph sunrise at this lake.
while the clouds never really “popped” the colors reflecting in the water as the sun was trying to peek its head above the horizon line really added to the beauty. this image was taken while the sun was still a ways from truly rising, so the relative darkness required a much longer exposure, which smoothed out the water adding to the peacefulness of the scene.
