a friend and I were driving to a location to photograph bald eagles - hoping to get there for sunrise. but as we drove, i saw this tree and these incredible colors in the sky as the sun was about to rise. so i pulled over, explained how i must photograph this tree’s silhouette in these colors and we both came over to setup our tripods. (i don’t think he enjoyed it nearly as much as me)
we never did get to photograph the eagles since they weren’t flying over the now-frozen lake.
